The Black Forest slopes more gently down to the upper Neckar and Danube valleys on the east, while on the west it descends steeply to the Rhine, traversed by lush valleys. Popular locations include the magnificent spas of Baden-Baden, the charming resort of Bad Liebenzell, and Germany’s oldest ski area at Todtnau. 

Schloss Neuschwanstein, Bavaria

This enormous scale model features sections devoted to the USA, England, Scandinavia, and Hamburg and boasts over 9.5 miles of model railway track. In addition, it features over 400,000 human figures, over 50,000 tiny lights, and about 1,300 trains.

Known as the Gateway to Germany, this vast 100 square kilometers tidal harbor is home to one of the biggest cruise ship terminals in the world.
