Weather Alert

MINNEAPOLIS — A NEXT Weather Alert is in outcome for the Twin Cities and more prominent Minnesota Thursday afternoon. And night with storms affecting the Minnesota State Fair and atmosphere transit in the metro region.

As of 4 p.m., the University of Minnesota demonstrated that the Gophers’ football house opener would be postponed until 8 p.m. because of the hurricanes.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was even under a bottom finish late Thursday afternoon. The Minnesota State Fair even temporarily shut its gates as the most serious of the storms moved through. As of 5:25 p.m., the access entrances had reopen, but visitors were ask to be mindful of possible rain and lightning hazards that could persist in the evening.

The National Weather Service had administered several tornado alerts and eyes. All of which have passed as of 8:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, many counties in the Twin Cities metro region were under intense thunderstorm alerts. Including Carver, Anoka, Hennepin, Dakota, Ramsey, and Scott.

State fair officers warned the public of “heavy rain, powerful winds (50-60 mph),” and lightning, and added fairgoers and sellers should be designed to initiate trouble weather systems. Fairgoers were seen running to shelters as the showers roll in, and interests like the Giant Slide were close down temporarily.

Officials also said a supposed tornado fell east of Isanti at about 5 p.m. and at Baldwin. Wisconsin near 6:20 p.m.

Xcel Energy was saying more than 25,000 clients were without power, as of 8:30 p.m.

The humidity will fall behind the shower system, exiting the metro with a time of really relaxing days. You can see that this Friday it will be 70s and will be a #Top10WxDay. But the temperature on Saturday can drop to the 80s.

Just cooler air will push in on Sunday and Labor Day, obtaining high temps down in the more inferior to mid-70s. A wonderful way to dress up meteorological summer. This can be another day that is #Top10WxDay.

Early subsequent week seems to be dry and gradually warming closer to moderate. With possibly one of the finest stretches of climate the metro has witnessed in some time.
