The National Hurricane Center elevated Tropical Storm Debby to a Type 1 hurricane as it persists toward Florida’s Gulf Coast. In its 11 p.m. advisory, the NHC stated Hurricane Debby is closing the northern easter Gulf Coast with currents of 75 mph with a main force of 985 MB.
Debby is predicted to cause significant flooding in parts of northern and central Florida, as said by NHC.
